DIVISIONS ON THE BILL. ' LABOR DEFEATS AMENDMENTS, (By Wire.—Own Correspondent.), Wellington, Nov. 1. The debate in the House of Representative:! on the Kailway Bill early on Saturday morning had some features of special interest. Several divisions on ' party lines took place. Mr. Holland, chairman of the Labor Party, moved that the salary of the General Manager of Railwayg shtfuld bo reduced by £IOOO. The salary mentioned in the Bill was £3OOO, After much discussion this amendment was defeated by 42 votes to 11. The division list was as follows: For the amendment (Id)-—Messrs J M. Dickson, T. A.
