EXPERIMENT BY CARDIFF FIRM.

The first business house in the world to employ an aeroplane of its own as part of its regular organisation is that rif Messrs S. Instone and Co.. steamship owners and general export and import inerchants, of Cardiff. The firm has purchased from the Air Ministry a large machine with Rolls-Royce engines, and have engaged as pilot Lieutenant F. L. Barnard, who holds the record number of cross-Channel flights. Mr. Samuel Instone, interviewed by a Press representative, said that serious delays had occurred during the last three months in the transport of important papers, samples, offers, and light goods, and the firm had decided to start their own service of express communication. If the experiment proved a success the firm would acquire a fleet of aeroplanes, and they might also go in largely for airships for commercial purposes. He added that the aeroplane would carry for the first time in the history of aviation the house flag of the firm, thus bringing it into line with their fleet of stpamers.
