'These races were about half a mile short of the full course. The course ln 1905 was not the usual one, and the time was unofficial. In 1876, 1880, 1881, 1882,1886 1889, and 1896, the races were rowed on the Thames; ln 1882 on the Tyne; in 1884,,1887, and 1907 on the Nepean; in 1897 at Vancouver; In 1901 In Canada; all the others on the Parramatta, except those or 1908 and 1909, which were rowed on the Wanganul, and 1910, which were rowed at Akaroa and on the Zambesi.
