CROQUET.
FITZROY CLUB OPENING. There was a large attendance of ladies at the Fitzroy croquet ground, adjoining the bowling green, yesterday afternoon, when the usual formal opening ceremony of the season took place, Mrs. T. G. Sole, at the request of Mr. S. Smith, striking the first ball with such true aim that it hit the centre peg fair and square. The ground was then declared open for the season.
