ALLOWANCE NOT SUFFICIENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchureh, Last Night. At a meeting of the Canterbury College Board of Governors to-day Professor Gabbatt, speaking in regard to the payment of the Khodes scholar, said the amount allowed by the trustees of the scholarship was £3OO a year—the pre-war figure. He said it was considered that the amount was not now sufficient to educate and provide for a scholar at Oxford. The subject) was referred to the College Committee.
