PROHIBITION IN AMERICA.

(Published by arrangement). ■ • To the Editor. Sir, —Some time ago I read ail opinion of a traveller from Canada published In your paper. Ho said that when the opportunity occurred Ontario would revert back to booze. Now, Ontario is one of the richest and most progressive States in the Dominion, and on their last vote they put out the Conservative Government, and knocked the booze crowd out at tho samo time. Some of the cables are a little misleading on the dry question In the United States. The whole of America goes dry on the 14th of January, 11120, bv constitutional enactment. The Slate of Illinois tho brewers' and booze crowd's sheet anchor, voted with the rest of the States. Let the people of New Zealand, understand that 45 out of the 48 States voted dry, and it becomes part of the constltulon. New Zealand 'will Join hands and come in nest December, and America and Canada will not have it all on their own.—l am, etc., C, D. SOLE. Stratford, October 23.
