To-night the Artcraft-Paramount feature, with an all-star cast, will again be shown at the King's Cinema, Stratford. This is Cecil de Mille's story, "The Whispering Chorus." Practically every one of the players has been seen in an especially fine impersonation in previous Artcraft or Paramount pictures. The theme of the picture is one of supreme self-sacrifice, and it contains all the elements that appeal to human emotions; and in its development to a logical and dramatic conclusion the highest artistry is displayed. The picturisation is by Jeannie Macpherson, the distinguished authoress of notable cinema successes in which Mary Pickford, Geraldine Farrar, and others were the stars. "The Whispering Chorus" is a story built from an idea of universal significance, and, although it is unfolded with the most subtle shading of character development, lighting, etc., it is yet so simple in theme as to be understood by everyone. The Triangle drama "Uatajned" wili-olao be screened.
