■' SHORTAGE OF INDIA CROP. By Wire.—Own Correspondent. Wellington, Tuesday. The reported prospective advance in the price of tea up to as much as 4s .was the subject of a question by Mr 'W. H. Field in the House to-day. He suggested that the Board of Trade should renew its activities in this direction, as it had a close relation to the cost of living. The Prime Minister said the ipcrease \was only a rnmor, but he would have it inquired into. He had heard there was a shortage of the tea crop in India.
