The District Committee of the Tarrtiakl Jockey Club met last night. Present: Messrs. L. A. Nolan (in the chair), S. Pitt, O. W, Sole, W. J. Morrison, J. Grey, H Washer, B H. Chaney? G. Frascr, and Newton King. Trainers' licenses were issued to Tame, Okaora, and J. J. Wade. Jockeys' licenses were issued to Richard Brown, George Edgecombe (subject to Hawke's Bay having no objection), and to E. J. Reld, and W. Ayres (optional). A gentleman rider's certificate was granted to J. T. Wade. / A deputation from the North Taranakt Hunt Club waited on the committee and asked for Hnancial support. The matter was left in the hands of a sub-commlttce. It was decided to heartily endorse Mr. C. P. Skerrett's contention that fractions from the totalisator should be retained by clubs,
