Dr. Orticoin, who has been carrying out investigations at the Paßteur Institute, concludes that influenza is due to an invisible infiltrating virus, in \vhieh visible microbes, like Proiffer bacillus, play only a secondary role. Furthermore, he concludes that human influenza differs from bubonic plague, but is assimilated to a number of animal epizootics like a plague, attacking horses, pigs and game.—Rcuter. pAn epizootic disease is especially an influenza among horses.—Ed.]
