CATHOLIC BAZAAR.
MUSICAL AND DRAMATIC ENTERTAINMENT. The first of a series of entertain, ments in connection with the forthcoming Catholic bazaar, was held in the, Rolland Hall last night, and attracted a lai\ge audience. The various Items presented were all well received, iwd encores demanded in every case. The programme was opened in each half by orchestral selections given by a group i of about 12 instrumentalists, under tha I direction of Mr. Rennie. Songs were - i given by Miss Hurley and Mr. Lamberti i while the Hockey Girls ' gave w I song and dunce called "Rose PetaJs," the party including the Misses O. Hurley, p. Barry, D. Healy, C. TreheT. R. Whittle, B. Allen, M. Healy, and K. Hurley. The song and tableau The Rose Of No Man's Land." a very pretty and spectacular item, was given by the Misses 6. Hurley and D. Barry. -Mr, : Boaworth played several flute solos, while Mr. Booth delighted the audience with his humorous representations of Cowboy life, and imitations of birds, Cockney patter, and life at the Zoo. A hornpipe was prettily danced by the Misses Elsa and Tui Whittle, and Mar- ' garet MoHardy, Two highly entertain- 1 ing comediettas were given, the first entitled "The Minister's Mistake's," by j Miss Jean Bennett and Mr. J. PovelL J and the second entitled, "A Defensives Alliance," by Misses M. Barry and iuj and J. Bennett. During the evening*! were presented to Miss and Miss Jean Bennett, The proowd**; jugs concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. -
