PAY OF CLERKS.
DEMANDS OP CHBISTCHITRCH UNION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Chrisitchurch, Last Night. The claims of the Christchureh Clerks, Cashiers, and Office Employees' Union, which have been filed at the Arbitration Court, include a week's work of 38 hours. The rates of pay are: First year of service, £1 5s per week; second year, £1 12s 6d ; third, £2 ss; fourth, £3 2s 8d; fifth, £4 6s; thereafter (for senior), £5 10s; casual hands not less than 3s per hour.
