HOME ECONOMY.
MAKING BEST COUGH SYRUP. (By a Qualified Chemist). There is much talk nowadays or economy and,'retrenchment. The cost of lising has gone up, and up, and up. Cough and cold mixtures take a lot of money, particularly where there is a family. An ordinary cighteenpenny bottle of cough mixture goes nowhere. A dose or two, and the mixture is done.
Wise mothers and" fathers now make their own family cough syrup. In thousands of homes much money is saved in this way. ' Take a bottle of HEENZO (He&n's Essence), a little sweetening and water, and mix. as per simple directions on the label. These make a pint of the finest cough remedy. That means seven to eight ordinary-size bottles —twelve shillings' worth for 2s. HEENZO (Hean's Essence) contains all the necessary medicinal ingredients. You add the sweetening and water yomself and save all unnecessary expenses. HEENZO (Hean's Essence) is sold by all chemists and grocers throughout the Dominion, or post free, on receipt of price—2s—from Hean's Pharmacy, Wanganui. Be sure you get HEENZO. 2u ROAD FORMATION AND METALLING. The Thornyeroft Dump Truck, specially designed for heavy work, is being employed in road formation and metalling both in the city and out back districts. The hydraulic tip and steel body are special features which, combined with British workmanship—itself a great recommendation—have earned the golden opinions of local body engineers. Thornyeroft Trucks do all their work on low-grade fuel 130 degrees, test kerosene or distillate—rendered possible by the Thornyeroft patent vaporiser. Fuel running costs are thereby reduced 50 per cent. Dunedin and Wellington City Councils, Hobson, Wairoa, Weber, Hawera and Manukau Councils are among a number of recent purchasers of Thornyeroft Dump Trucks. For further particulars write to A. Hatriek and' Co., Wang&uui and W«l----lingtoa. ~..r
