A WHAREHUIA CEREMONY.
''Decency" writes from Stratford:—ln your report of the u»;-eiling ceremony at Wharehuia in this morning's issue 1 noticed that the name of the chairman of the Taranaki Education Board (Mr R. Masters) was omitted. On making enquiries, I find that he never received an invitation to the function. This is playing politics pretty low down when people resort to tactics of this sort. Seeing that a deputation of the subscribers waited on Mr Masters and asked his permission to place the memorial in the school, one would have thought that common decency would have prompted them to ask him to be present at the ceremony.
