The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports:— For store and dairy stock competition was keen. Best dairy cows fetched £l6 to £2l si, sound young cows £l2 to £ls 10s, aged cows £7 15s to £ll 15s, best heifors £l2 to £l7 12s 6d, others £7 to £ll 10s, empty cows and heifers £0 to £9 ss, yearling to 18month heifers £4 10s to £C, yearling to 18month steers £5 to £6 15s, best calves £3 to £4 2s 6d, others £1 5s upwards, ewes with lambs at foot £1 12s Cd to £1 18s S)d. At Pulcekohe on Thursday our annual bull sole was most successful. Tho demand Tor Jersey bulls and for good quality Shorthorn bulls was extra keen. Inferior and smaller bulls wore dull of sale. Registered pedigree Jersey bulls sold at from £lO 10s to 29 guineas, grade Jersey hulls 7 guineas to 20 guineas, registered pedigree Shorthorn bulls (milking strain) 17 guineas to 35 guineas, good grade Shorthorn bulla 10 guineas to 24 guineas, small 5 guineas to 9 guineas; Holstein bulls 6 guineas to 13 guineas; Ayrshlr • hulls 8 guineas to 15 guineas; Polled Angus bulls 10 guineas to 13 guineas. At Papßkura late rates ruled. Grown stetrs sold at from £l3 10s to £ls 17s 6d, three to 4-year steers £lO 10s to £l3 ss, 2 to 3-yeitr-old steers £7 5s to £lO ss, yearling to 18month steers £3 10s to £7 2s 6d, steer calves £1 15s to £3 12s Od, heifer calves £1 to £2 17s 6d, yearling to 18-month heifers £3 to £6 10s, 18-month to 2-year heifers sultpble dairy purposes £6 to £8 15s, empty cows and heifers £C 5s to £9 7s 6d, beef at Westfleld rates. At the Westfleld fat stock market, beef was yarded in fully average numbers.
