Timaru, Oct. 11.—Masula, at 6.45 a.m., foe Sydney. Auckland, Oct. 11.—Talune, and Paloona, at б.15 p.m., for Suva. Auckland, Oct. 12.—Surrey, at 6.30 a.m., foe Wellington. LINER KARAMEA BERTHS. The Shaw-Savill and Albion liner Karamea arrived off New Plymouth harbor shortly after 9 o'clock on Saturday morning, and was berthed at 10.30 by the harbormaster (Captain W. Waller). This is the'first'occasion on which the vessel has visited this port. She left London op. July 9, bound for Hobart and New Zealand ports with general cargo. Capetown was. reached on August 6, and after loading a quantity of maize and wine the vessel was ordered to Durban for coal and there she was delayed from August 11 to August 17. Hobart was reached on September 11, and left on the 13th. The vessel reached Auckland on September 20 and Wellington on September 30, and from the latter port has come here. Captain C. M. Andrews 13 in charge, and with him are Mr. O. Roberts (chief officer), Mr, C. E. Goodyear (second), and Mr. R. Rowsell (third), and Mr. R. Ramsbottom (chief engineer). The vessel has a deadweight carrying capacity of 8523 tons. On berthing being completed immediate preparations were made for working cargo, and discharging and loading commenced In ths afternoon. The vessel brought 750 tons of Leeds basic slag for this port, and is' to load the following: 18,750 freight carcases of muttcn and lamb; 2550 cases of preserved meats; 700 bales of slip© wool, 15 bales leather, 2 'bales hair, 502 casks tallow and pelts, 25 sncto hides, 19 sacks horns. The work is expected to be completed by about Thursday next. Dr. W. R. Wade was summoned to the vessel on her arrival to attend the chief steward iMr. C. Ivimy), who had a paralytic strokß during the voyage up from Wellington. The doctor directed that the patient should bo taken to the hospital. THE TUKUA. The auxiliary scow Tukua, arrived from Waitara on Saturday evening. She will load a cargo of general produce for Awaklno. THE KAKAPO. The Kakapo arrived from Wellington at 1.15 p.m .y.esterday, with a cargo of 700 tons of cement to discharge. THE KARU. The Karu arrived at the breakwater at 145 p.m. yesterday from Wellington, having beeu sheltering for some time near French Pass. She has a cargo of general produce for New Plymouth. THE BADEN POWELL. The Baden Powell arrived from Wellington at 8.45 p.m. yesterday. She has general cargo to discharge, and may leave again for Well" ington this evening.
