THE RAGLAST SEAT. Mr W. J. Jordan, a returned /oldier, has been selected to contest the/Raglajj electorate in the interest of tht Labor. Party. Until his enlistment Sir Joriai* was a member of the Nga/uawahia Town Board and a partner in the firm of Jordan and Brewer, of Ng«ruawahi&. He is considered to be of thq moderate school of Labor. THE EGMONT SEAT. Mr. G. H. Buckeridge, in a letter stati ing his reasons for not contesting this seat, after thanking his gopd friends at Rahotu for their expressions of confidence and paying a generous tribute to Mr. C. A. Wilkinson's thorough work, while in Parliament, says: "(1) I would support no party without a definitely stated policy upon the questions of urgent moment confronting the country at present. (2) Like Mr. Wilkinson, my business demands my careful attention. (3) The catch-vote policy, or the "loaves and fishes roads, bridges, and railways policy" of the past is one that, in my opinion,. lias already wrought irreparable ham to the country, and that I would have nothing whatever to, do with."
