SPOTS AND TAINTS ON FROZEN MEAT.

NOT WIDELY DISSEMINATED. (By Wire.—Own Correspondent.) Wellington, Laßt Night, Replying to a question about black spot or other taints in stored frozen meat, the Hon. W. Nosworthy to-day stated that full inquiries have been made, and a report has been prepared. Owing to the congested state of the stores, the whole of the long-stored meat was not accessible for Examination, but all the information Which could be obtained shows that the form of mould termed "black spot" is not widely disseminated, and that the great bulk of this meat is not affected by it, and that its general condition is good, considering its long period of storage.
