OBELISKS ON BATTLEFIELDS. By Telegraph—Proas Assn.—Copyright. j Received Oct. 10, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 9, Four obelisks marking the battlefields, where the Australians were principally engaged have been completed at Polygon Wood, Belle en Lise, Mericourt, and Pozieres, and a fifth is being constructed at St. Quentin, The obelisks are constructed of grey basalt, 45 feet high, inscribed to the officers and men of the division operating in the particular field on which the monument stands.
