GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S VISIT.
OFFICIAL PROGRAMME, In connection with the visit of his Excellency the Governor-General and Lady Liverpool to New Plymouth next week the following programme has been approved by their Excellencies:— TUESDAY, 14th. 8.10 p.m.—Arrival at New Plymouth, met by Mayor and councillors at station. 8.20 p.m. motor to White Hart Hotel. In view of their Excellencies' 'long journey, there will be no further official function on Tuesday. , WEDNESDAY, 15th. 10 a.m.—Official farewell ceremony at Everybody's Theatre. Presentation of address by his Worship the Mayor to his Excellency,, and presentation of address from the. women of New Plymouth to Lady Liverpool by the Mayoress. After the ceremony morning tea will be provided for the Vice-Regal party by .the Mayoress. 11.40 a.m.—Depart from Everybody's Theatre for train. 11.50 a.m.—Departure from New Plymouth. The public attending the farewell ceremony are requested to be in their seats not later than 9.55 a.m. A coincidence in connection with the visit is that their Excellencies arrive In New Plymouth on the sixth anniversary of their first official visit to New Plymouth. ' Returned soldiers will form the guard of honor in connection with the Wednesday Morning function and a large muster is anticipated. Those intending to participate are asked to assemble at the club rooms at 9.30.
