CANDIDATE FOR CLUTHA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. , Dunedin, Oct. 8. W. S. Maslin, farmer, is the selected Liberal candidate for Clutha. THE EGMONT SEAT. At PLahotu, on Tuesday, a meeting of Mr. Wilkinson's supporters was held to suggest names of likely candidates for the Egmont seat. Mr. Hughson presided, and after the chairman and Messrs E. Maxwell and W. R. Wright had explained what had been done at the three conferences held 'at Eltham, it was unanimously agreed to support Mr. G. Buckeridge. A hearty vote of thanks to Mr. Wilkinson and regret that he is retiring from Parliament was passed.
