WOMEN'S PARLIAMENTARY RIGHTS.

THE BILL IMPERILLED.' • , By Wire—Own Correspondent Wellington, Last Night. The Bill which proposes to admit women to Parliament is now,, in a perilous position. The original Bill provided that women might sit in both Houses. The Lower 'House passed the Bill in that form, but the Council amended it to make it apply to the House only. The House decided last night to disagree with the amendment, and the Council determined to-day to insist on its amendment. The next step is a conference between representatives of the two Chambers. If both, sides insist, the Bill Will die. There is no reason to believe that, at this stage of session, the Government will spend much time on trying to save the Bill.
