FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA. Received Oct. 5, 5.5 p.m. By Telegraph.—Press Amm.—Copyright. London, Oct. 2. All preparations for the flight of the Larkin-Sopwith machine to Australia art complete, but the strike has delayed the start. The machine has been tested and the engine is better than the one used oh the trans-Atlantic flight. Matthews is confident of reaching Australia before Parliament is prorogued.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. London, Oct. 3. In connection with the Australian flight, the Air Force is unable to guarantee assistance to competitors eastward of Delhi. The route the competitors have agreed to fly over the east of India traverses Rangoon, Singapore, Bundeang, and Port Darwin. If seaplanes are used the route will be via Akyab, Rangoon, Mergui, Penang, Singapore, Muntok, Batavia, Buna, Koepang, and Port Dar« win.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
