PURCHASE OF LARGE STEAMER.
BY FREEZING WORKS COMPANY. ■ By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisbbrne, Last Night. An item of news, of great interest in shipping, commercial and farming circles, was given to a reporter on Saturday by Mr Xysnar, chairman of directors of the Waipaoa Freezing Works. He said that his company had concluded the purchase of a large Britishbuilt steamer. This steamer, the building of which was only completed last year, has a carrying capacity of 10,800 tons and will be provided with facilities for carrying at least 125,000 carcases of frozen meat, and about-23,000 bales of wool, or its equivalent in other cargo. His company takes possession of the boat towards the end of the present month,
