This. and other interesting facts'about the' division of the actional income appear in a White Paper issued by the Inland llevenue. The total income of the "big 148" is £27,000,000, from which, it is estimated, approximately £13,3;>2,009, or nearly half, will be cast into (he Treasury in income tax and super-tax. Of 3,34(1,000 persons affected by the income . tax regulations, 1,040,1100 are entirely relieved from tax by the operation of abatements and allowances'.
