CRICKET.
WAIREKA CLUB. A meeting of those interested in the formation of a cricket club under the auspices of the Walreka Sports Club was held last night. Mr. A. Yardley presided. After discussing the matter it was decided to form a club, and the following officers were elected: President, Mr. T. Richards; vice-presidents, Messrs. Grelner and A. J. Richards; club captain, Mr. Currin; teams captain, Mr. J, Parker (pro tern). Delegates were appointed to attend the meeting of the North Taranakl Cricket Association on the 9th. inst. The fees were fixed at 10s per annum for playing members, and 6s for honorarv members. A donation of £1 Is towards the club's funds was suitably acknowledged.
MANAIA CLUB. The annual meeting of the Manaia Cricket Club elected the following officers:—Patron, Mr. James Deacon; president, Mr. H. M. Mclvor; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. G. Bennett, J. Gilmour, J. Meldon, A. L. Young, R. Hughes, J. Harcourt, J. B. Dunn, C. Kirk, Dr. Maunsell, J. S. McKay, E. Long, T. McPhllllps, F. Mourie, A H. Christie, N. Innes, Rev. Father Saunderson, W. Taylor, Rev. Tye, .las. Taylor, C. Jones, C. J. Powel, T. A. Armitage, A. Clark, A. Gamlln, S. Bennett, N. and H. Davis; captain, J. A. G. Cosgrove; vice-captain, E. L. Mason; selection committee, Mossrs. Cosgrove, Mason, R. Hughes; ground committee, nil members; auditor, V. H. Hobday; delegates to Union, J. S. McKay and V. H. Hobday.
