CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB, s Christchurch, Last Night. M the general meeting nf members of the Canterbury Jockey Club, the chairman (Mr. Ales. Boyle) made eulogistic references to the services of the retiring secretary (Mr. W\ 11. E Wanklyn), and, on his motion, Mr, WnnHlyn was made an honorary life member of the club. In answer to a nuastion, the chairman said If It was the desire of members, the Government would lie approached for permission to Inst.il a double totallsator. Mr. J.
