PARK TENNIS CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Park Tennis Club was held last night. In the absence of the president (Mr. A. Arabury) the chair was taken by Mr. F. Tribe. The balance sheet, which showed that the overdraft had been reduced by about £2O, was adopted. Mr. F. W. Sandford, one of the guarantors, congratulating the club on the improved financial position, thanked the members for their efforts in that direction. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. A. Ambury; vicepresidents, Mrs. C. M. Hill, Messrs P. W. Sjindford, W. A. Collis, W. Ambury, and .1. Scanlon; trustees, Messrs T. C. List, Sandford, and Scanlon; secretary, Mr. Knapp;' treasurer, Mr. H. J. M Wells; auditor, Mr. Sandford; grounds committee, Messrs Knapp, Tribe, and Collis; general committee, Mesdames Hill, McGnhcy, Fulton, Tribe, Diprose, and Knapp, Miss Collis, Messrs Tribe and Diprose; afternoon tea committee, Mrs. Fulton and Miss Honour; caretaker, Mr. Hurle. It was decided that the subscriptions for the season should be £2 5s for gentlemen and £1 10s for ladies, reducible by 5s if paid before November 30 It was also decided that, to assist the finances of the club, a social evening should be held on October 8, and a committee was set up to make all the necessary arrangements. The opening day was fixed for November 6.
