According to advices from Pekin, the American international banking group visiting here at flrtt decided not to advance loans to China until peace questions were arranged, but it is now seeking the authorisation o{ the home Government to lend to China immediately, <n view of the latt«r*s desperate financial flight. . The Chinese were greatly aroused by •tthe report that the initial loan of a hunjjdred million yen had been granted, but wad been secured on the national copper 'and iron mines, which it is feared would involve Japanese railroad construction oh the northern frontiers, thus shutting off China from Mongolia.—Aus.
