EVERYBODY'S. "THE SORROWS OF SATAN." In the dramatisation of Marie CorelH's famous novel, "The Sorrows bf Satan," screening at Everybody's to-night, the principal part is taken by England's foremost beauty actress, Gladys Cooper, This is only the second picture in which Miss Cooper has appeared, her previous appearance having been ill the wonderful and historic screening of ".Masks and Faces," in which all the most famous actors and actresses of this generation and the last took part. The fame of this beautiful girl is world wide, and her reputation as an actress is familiar to everybody. In "The Sorrows of Satan" she lias every opportunity to display her talent in the highly emotional part ol Lady Sybil Elton, the beautiful society girl who was sold to the highest bidder. thc,price for a wife and home being five millions. Two of the most prominent actors of the day support Miss CooperOwen Nares as Geoffrey Tempest, aim Cecil Humphreys in the dillicult and exacting role of the Prince of Darkness in human guise, Prince Lucio Riraanez. Of the acting in this film too much cannot be said. -Perfect representations of the characters are given, and the staging is on a scale of great magnificence. THE PEOPLE'S. MRS CHARLIE CIIAPLIN. Mildred Harris (Mrs Charlie Chaplin) is the star of "Borrowed Clothes." which screens finally at the People's to-night. She plays a part of parts in a heartsearching story of love lost, and won. It is a story of a girl of wondrous •beauty who was sacrificed to social ambition. Magnificent, clothes at an awful cost cover a heart of misery. Miss Harris wears some wonderful creations in the play. Supporting this great feature are varied and interesting supports, the most prominent of which is '■' Slap .lacks." The latest Gazelle, comedy and interest films are also shown. To-morrow's new bill presents darling Marguerite Clark in "Out. of a Clear Sky."
