BRITISH RAILWAYMEN THREATEN TO STRIKE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Sept. 24. The railwaymen rejected the Government proposals in reference to the purchase and control of railways, and sent an ultimatum to the Government that unless there is a favorable reply to their demands by noon to-morrow the men will be ordered to strike.—Aus.-N.Z.
