MILITARY APPOINTMENTS By Telegraph,—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. Ahout 300 applications were received for vacancies on the New Zealand Staff from returned soldiers. Of these, 47 were chosen to go into camp for training and testing by the board, consisting of Generals Robin, Russell, Richardson, and Hart. They are nearly all decorated, and very few are seniors, preference Tjeing given to the younger men. Among these are three V.C.s, Captain Andrew, Lieutenants Jtidson and Priekleton. They have still to prove their fitness, and this selection does not necessarily mean actual appointment.
