The Government has .decided not to reemploy the members of the State bakery staff if they carry out the proposal to strike. IMPERIAL LINE OF STEAMERS. Received Sept. 23, f1.40 n.m. Sydney, Sept. 23. Sir Joseph Cook, at a commercial luncheon, discussing the shipping problem, advocated an Imperial steamship line, subsidised, if necessary, by other parts of the Empire. It would have a tremendo'.'s binding effect. THE WHEAT COMMISSION. Received Sept. 23, 9.45 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 23. The Royal Wheat Commission., consisting of Justice Pring and two assessors, has opened - a further inquiry into the Georgeson contract and other transactions of the State wheat office. It also has extended scope to investigate whether certain investments by Mr. Grahame, Minister for Agriculture, were from money received as trustee, or improperly taken in his Ministerial capacity.
