H.M.S. NEW ZEALAND.
ON THE EAST COAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Yesterday. H.M.S- New Zealand visited Napier on Sunday for about an hour. She did not come alongside the breakwater. A large crowd watched her from the Marine Parade. Gisborne, Yesterday. Glorious weather favored the visit of H.MS. New Zealand, which called in at the roadstead en route for Auckland yesterday afternoon. Crowds lined the beaches and hillsides, and large numbers of school boys were taken out in tenders and cheered the New Zealand as she slowly steamed by. The acting-chairman of the Harbor | Board gave the official greetings to the Admiral, who expressed regret that the stay was so short. As the warship departed the ship's hand played "Auld Lang Syne." ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND. Auckland, Last Night. The battleship New Zealand arrived to-night, and berthed at Queen's Wharf Lord Jellicoe will land to-morrow, when official receptions will be held.
