The match should prove a very interesting en* as on the occasion that these teams met to Hawera early in July, Wanganui put up a (Teat fight, and were only beaten by 11 points to 3. The Taranaki team is hardly as strong aa that which met Wanganui previously, but can be relied upon to give a good account of itself. NORTH V, SOUTH ISLAND MATCH. The revival of the Inter-Island fliture Is causing considerable Interest, and the result Bf to-day's match at .Wellington will be eagerly awaited Taranaki. this year, only lias one representative in the team, Masters (Stratford), who Is playing lock.
