The police were advised yesterday that a man named Robert Augustus Bricknell, a widower, residing at Barrett Road, had committed suicide by drinking some disinfectant at about *!! o'clock that morning. The deceased took his breakfast as usual and then said he was going to town, A little later he was found outside in a state of collapse- Dr. Blackley was summoned but pronounced life extinct when he examined the body, which was removed to tho morgue. An inquest will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
