ITALY.
THE HUME QUESTION. By Teltgrsph.—Press Assn.-Capyrtht. Rome, Sept. ie. . Two thousand six hundred troops are htill with D'Annunzio. They mostly believed their officers' statements that the Italian Government approved of the Fiume enterprise. A number returned to their units when they discovered their error. Leaflets are being distributed wholesale and affixed to the walls in Fiume for the purpose of exciting the troops. Soms leaflets say that the Nitti Cabinet has resigned, while other statements without foundation include the assertion that the American and British troops at Fiume have embarked in consequence of the raid.—Aiu.-N.Z.
