"Always merry and bright" lias lung been The Dandies' mottc, and the company which is appe.i.;ing in the KmpMX* Theatre for a four night season commencing next Friday night, is said to be merrier and brighter than ever for they return to us with a liost of new novelties which have met with t'ia hearty approval ill other centres, and double ;jtterest is taken in the return of the favorites as there are several artists who lire new to local amusement seekers and [these new members of the combination come to us with the highest of credentials and the favorable criticism passed on'them elsewhere will 110 doubt be fully endorsed by local patrons. For year's past we have visits from various companies of Dandies lint it is said that the company appearing on Friday night is the most versatile that has visited.Now Zealand and the successes which tbev lave achieved in every city' or town they have appeared is sufficient guarantee that they are entertainers of a very liigh order; from the rise of the curtain to the finale there ,is never a dull moment, item follows item quickly with 110 dull waits and the audience is treated to songs, dances, sketches, operatic selections, monologues, travesties, 'cello solos, quartettes, and genuine comedy of the clean and right sort. The following will explain just who and what The Dandies are:—Miss Christina Andrews, soprano; Miss Madeline Knight, contralto; Miss Lenore Graham, soubretteHiss Kitty (ielhor, pianiste and musical monologuist; Mr Kingsley Chapman, tenor; Mr lien 11 Miller, basso; Mr An-1 drew Pace, light comedian; Mr Noel Monkman, 'cellist; and Mr Will B Keany, character cpmedian- The management stress the fact that everything is'entirely new and the box plan' opens at Collier s this morning. EVERYBODY'S, 'ROY STEWART IN "THE BOSS OF THE LAZY Y." In "The Boss of the Lazy Y," with Roy Stewart as the cowbov'hero, there are thrills enough to satisfy the most critical testes. Love, adventure, rou«h ruling, quick shooting, revenge and 'tenner forgiveness are all intermingled in <1 story that is alive and active from beginning to end. Boy Stewart furnishes some most sensational horsemanship, roping and taming an equine outlaw, and there is no fake or doubling in lus work either. Josie Sedgwick makes a fascinating little ranch girl and creep* into your sympathies from the start Bad men and six shooters play their part in the story, and there is not'a dull moment in the whole picture. The final episode of "The House of Hate" also shows on this programme which screens at Everybody's to-night and to-morrow. THE CAFE CIIANTANT. The management of the Cafe Chantant regrets that it is found to be impossible to have an afternoon performance on the 25th, as originally intended. The two evening performances on the 2."ith and the 2(>t-!i will, however, take place 11s already arranged, and the whole of the proceeds devoted to the St. Mary's Peace Memorial Sunday School"Fund. A really excellent programme of music and (lancjng has been arranged, and, when it is remembered that rehearsals have been talcing place regularly for some weeks past, it is hoped that the, efforts of the performers will be rewarded by good public patronage, and that 110 tables will remain unoccupied. There will be no raffling nor extras, supper.being included In the 2s tickets. A partial change of programme will take place on Friday, and much laughter will undoubtedly bo caused by the sinking in costijme of various songs, Tickets already purchased will be valid for either evening, and additional ticket) Me oa tile at Avwy's.
