BACK FROM THE WAR.
MORE TARANAKI MEN ARRIVE, About 100 Taranakl soldiers, ex the troopship Ellenga, arrived at New Plymouth from Onehunga on Saturday. The ltarawa was tho ttrst vessel, to arrive, reaching port about 7.80 a.m. The draft of soldiers were taken south by train, with the exception of those who were met at the wharf by friends with motor cars. The Deputy-Mayor (Mr. W. A. Collis) was present to greet the men. The Band, under Bandmaster McLeod, was present and played a number of selections, but just before 8 o'clock the men hftd to leave in order to go to work, A number of people were on the wharf to ' meet boys who wete on board the Aupourl, which' did not reach port till 2 o'clock iu the afternoon, and they therefore had a long wait about- town for the vessel's arrival. Following are the names of the men for stations' as far south as Eltham 1 • ' ■ New Plymouth —Sergeant E. P. Knight; Troopers C. ,W.,Skelley. V. W, L. Stanton, W. 11. Bishop, E. w. Coombe, J.
