EVERYBODY'S. MATINEE TO-DAY AT 2 p.m. DICK ROSSON AS "CASSIDY." There is a spark of good in every, one, and the proof of this esigts in the Triangle feature, "Cassidy," screening this afternoon and to-night at Everybody's. Dick Rosson is starring in the title role, and is responsible for some wonderfully realistic acting. Unexpectedly being the recipient of a sympathetic hearing by the man -whose house he burgles, the first kindness he has ever known, he is able to repay fourfold the service by saving a young girl from the white slavers, and she turns out to be the daughter of his benefactor. As an appeal to all who should lake an interest in their fellow men, Cassidy's work, is irresistible, and a strong moral lesson is forced home in tho play. The programme also includes a humorous tworeel Mack Sennett comedy, ''Wronged by Mistake."
THE EMPIRE. TE KOA CONCERT PARTY. A unique entertainment will be given in the Empire Theatre next Monday, and Tuesday nights when a party of returned soldiers, the Te Koas, under the direction of Mr. Owen Pritchard, will be seen in one of their popular concerts, which did so much to brighten the lives of the "diggers" when resting behind the lines in France. Auckland raved about the party, and New Plymouth people will doubtless avail themselves of the opportunity of sw!m« dm first cnterinitient of this kind to be given here. An Auckland paper ,uvs: ••The high-class entertainment given by the Te Koas at the Town Hall concert chamber, attracted another large audience last evening. An enthusiastic reception was accorded to the soldier performers, whose contributions comprised several of the latest songs from England, novel comedy .interludes, and some well-known and favorite musical numbers. The whole performance was a striking testimony to the quality of the entertainments which the clever and versatile little troupe provided during the war for their comrades behind the lines."
