KAPONGA DAIRY CO. AND A CHALLENGE.
' To the Editor. Sir,—ln perusing your report of the general meeting of shareholders of Kaponga Dairy Co., 1 notice in some instances I appear to have taken a lot from Mr'R. T. E. Mellow sitting down. For Instance, he aaid that I represented Kaponga more thau Rowan. I consider I was elected a director to help to represent not only Bowan, but the Kaponga Dairy Company as a whole. Mr Mellow said he had been asked to stand. Well, Sir, a lot of silly things were asked that day. As neighbors Mr Mellow nnd I generally agree, but not always o'i factory matters. I hereby challenge Mr Mellow to meet tbp Rowan suppliers, resident I shareholders and myself in the Rowan Hall on an evening to bo arranged, each of us to select a scrutineer, and they to appoint a chairman, each candidate to be allowed a quarter of an hour to address tho meeting and five minutes to reply, and a secret ballot to be taken as to which of us they would prefer to have represent them, no proxies to be used and eno man one, vote.
