THE WHITLEY SCHEME. By Talegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Sept. 12. Employers and employees in the boot trade have agreed to apply the Whitley scheme to the industry. This is the first introduction of the scheme into Australia. A meeting of the Labor Council decided to oppose the adoption of the Whitley scheme. A ballot at the railway workshops reacted the Whitley scheme by a large mfejority.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc
