AIRSHIPS NOT A COMMERCIAL SUCCESS. London, Sept. 10. General Brancker declares that airphips have not yet been proved commercially useful. The performance of R34 was splendid, but it was not a possible competitor with steamships. Commercial airships must be larger and faster and possess greater lifting power. Immense capital would be required to build them and the money would probably not be forthcoming.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
