MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before Mr W. R. MeKeati, S.M.)' CIVIL BUSINESS. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the ease of the Executors hi the Estate of the late James Paul (Mr Ronald H. Quilliam) v. William Alexander Scott, £1 10s (costs ss). LAND AGENT'S LICENSE. A land agent's license was granted to Augustus E. Watkins, New Plymouth, at the Magistrate's Court yesterday by Mr W. R. McKcan, S.M., Mr A, C. Laurey appearing on behalf of the applicant, CHARGES OF THEFT. JaeTc Johnstone and Francis Douglas Still, who appeared on remand on a scries of charges of breaking and entering and theft, were, on the application of bub-Inspector Hutton further remanded nil to-morrow morning. On the application of Mr A. H. Johnstone, who appeared on behalf of defendant Still, bail was renewed on the same terms as previously. John Brown and Charles Frederick George Tapp were charged with, on September 0, stealing from Manaia a horse and harness, of the value of £4l, the property of Mr E. Schicker, and from Kaupokonui a gig valued at £45, the property of John Landers. On the application of the police the accused were remanded to appear at Hawera on Friday next.
