RETURNED SOLDIERS'
TO WAIT UPON PARLIAMENT. FOR A £l5O fJRATUITY PER SOLDIER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A largely attended meeting of returned soldiers was held in the Town Hall tonight to discuss the question of war gratuities. The following resolution, moved by Mr. A. B. Sievwright, was carried: That this meeting of returned soldiers of Wellington form itself into a deputation to interview, at (3.30 p.m. to-morrow, the Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition, and members of both Houses of Parliament, with the mover and Mr. J. Mackenzie as spokesmen with power to add to their number, to place before them the demand of £IBO by way of gratuity for each soldier for two years' service out of New Zealand, such sum to be more or leas according as the length of service is more or less than two yearn, every soldier to be puton an equal footing without distiaatiw j ' '• n; »■'
