Speaking at Omaha, President Wilson, referring to the Senatorial reservations on the peace treaty, said that their sponsors obviously meant the United States to sit near the door when trouble *U impending, in order that, if there was anything they did not like, their position would enable them to scuttle and run. The reservations regarding Monroeism were unnecessary, as the doctrine wag accepted for the first timehook, line, and sinker—by all nations.— Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. President Wilson added that the Allies had not asked Germany's consent regarding the terms of the peace treaty. They handed Germany a pen, telling her to "sign here." Did any patriotic American want the method changed? asked President Wilson. (Cheers, and "No" from the crowd.) PRESIDENT ON PAN-AMERICANISM, SENATE AND PEACE TREATY. In the course of a speech at Omaha, President Wilson, referring to PanAmericaniam, said he did not believe the American peoplo desired to arm themselves and stand on guard, ignoring the rest of the world.
