Mrs Wainhousty wife of Mr W. H. i Wainhonse, a former resident of New | Plymouth, died at Auckland on Sunday. | Mr. W. E. Woodward, who haa been manager of the Auckland branch of tha Union Bank of Australia for just over 21 years, is relinquishing that position. Hi? successor is Mr. Frank Herbert, who comes from Bhllarat, where he has been manager for six years. Mr, Herbert has been in the service of the bank for 23 years, and the present is his first appointment in New Zealand. Mr. J. W. Court, managing director of John Court, Ltd., Auckland, who is retiring from business, was entertained by the staff last week and presented with a sliver salver and an autograph album bearing the signatures of the firm's 415 employees.
