RETURNING SOLDIERS.

A REPORT DEXIBD. By Telegraph.—Prea9 Association. Wellington, Sept. G. Gabled advice has been received that the Cordoba, returning with draft 278, left Durban on August 20, and is due at Fremantle on September 13. Regarding the report that the Ellenga's troops were short of money in Sydney, the Defence Department cabled Mr. Blow, Government agent at Sydney, for full particulars, ami lias received the following reply: "Heard no complaints. Received no applications for monetary assistance. All ranks seem happy and grateful for the opportunity to visit Sydney. Hulbert reports no trouble with troops. All received advance before leaving Newcastle. Have handed Hulbert £SOO to-day."
