A CHILD'S DEATH. By Telegraph.—tress Association. Dunedin, Sept. 0. An inquest was held to-day on the body of Eleanor Mclntyre, aged 20 'months, who died as the result of swallowing an orange pip. The evidence showed that during the absence of the mother in a maternity hospital an aunt gave the child an orange and sent her to walk with an older child. The orange was first examined to see that all pips had been removed. One unusually largo pip was overlooked, which lodged in the windpipe, blocking both bronchial tubes* A verdict' was returned that death was due to asphyxiation, the result of a blockage of' th© windpipe.
