WONDERFUL CRISIS PREDICTED AT CLOSE OF 1919. Prebendary Webb-Peploe, in the Daily News of June 28, contradicts the state*meut attributed to him (and cabled all over the Empire) that at tho close of this year the world's history would come to a conclusion. He was preaching, he told a Dailv News representative, on tho need to bo ready for the coming of Christ, and used as an illustration of a point in his sermon the statement of certain Egyptologists that careful study of tho Gwat Pyramid had led them to the conclusion that "at the close of the year Ml!) would come a wonderful crisis in the history of the world " 'The ideas are not mine," he said, "and I iwsil tfets purely te an illustration."
